90 minute Yin Yoga with Dan Sunday, March 15th 4pm
Yin yoga is a practice consisting of poses held for a longer amount of time allowing your body to release tension in muscles, ligaments and fascia increasing circulation to joints and improving flexibility. It is appropriate for all levels of experience.
Beginner Workshop February 28th 12-1:30pm Cost $25
This workshop is for people new to yoga or those whom may need a refresher. This workshop focuses on the basics of all classes offered on our weekly schedule. There will be time for questions and to learn modifications jump starting your yoga practice at Sojourn. Wear comfortable clothes & bring a mat (only a few are available).
‘In Sync’ Experience Full Engagement Through Rhythmic Movement with guest teacher Cara Bradley from Verge Yoga

There are moments during a deep yoga practice when you feel intensely awake, fully engaged, and completely in-sync. Time seems to slow down as you slip into a heightened awareness of your every breath and an intimate connection with your body and soul. For most, this powerful, and yet very natural state of being, only emerges spontaneously. It is unpredictable and unreliable. You can, however, cultivate the capacity to intentionally call upon this incredible sense of aliveness and wellbeing. You can train yourself to be In-Sync.
Join Verge Yoga’s Cara Bradley for an exploration of how synchronizing the pulses of the Body, Mind and Heart through a rhythmic vinyasa practice can elicit a direct experience of presence and power. Together we will ride the waves of breath and movement and discover what it feels like to be 100% fully engaged with life. Yogis of all-levels are welcome.

Sojourn is a temporary stay, a journey that allows an end to unfold creating space for a new beginning. Yoga is union of mind, body, and spirit. The time spent on your mat is temporary, a sojourn. Once you step off your mat and into your daily activities, the possibilities of the practice begin. The physical benefits affect our state of being; as your strength grows and flexibility increases, you may feel less stressed or tense possibly more confident or inquisitive. This is different for each individual and our bodies are ever changing; as we sojourn through those changes and awakenings, we find many layers. The practice of yoga gives us the ability to explore these layers and awaken awareness. My goal is to create a space for you to explore the physical practice of yoga, to increase strength and flexibility, to question limitations and possibilities, and expand your mind as you develop an understanding of the practice of yoga, realizing your personal sojourns.
