This workshop is for people new to yoga or those whom may need a refresher. This workshop focuses on the basics of all classes offered on our weekly schedule. There will be time for questions and to learn modifications jump starting your yoga practice at Sojourn. Wear comfortable clothes & bring a mat (only a few are available).
Wall Yoga Workshop: Take your Practice Against the Wall with Dan

In this flow based all levels workshop, we will explore most of our asanas using the wall. This workshop hopes to enhance your understanding of proper alignment and to allow variations of the poses.

The Eightfold Path: The Fundamentals for a Happy, Meaningful Life
How can you direct the activities you do with your body, speech and mind toward something positive and meaningful before they get you into trouble? Explore the Noble Eightfold Path, a practical system incorporating good thoughts, healthy communication, compassionate living, and practical mindfulness. With some understanding of this path, you can get tremendous support with the upcoming back-to-school or autumn routines, as well as, throughout all aspects of your life.

Sojourn is a temporary stay, a journey that allows an end to unfold creating space for a new beginning. Yoga is union of mind, body, and spirit. The time spent on your mat is temporary, a sojourn. Once you step off your mat and into your daily activities, the possibilities of the practice begin. The physical benefits affect our state of being; as your strength grows and flexibility increases, you may feel less stressed or tense possibly more confident or inquisitive. This is different for each individual and our bodies are ever changing; as we sojourn through those changes and awakenings, we find many layers. The practice of yoga gives us the ability to explore these layers and awaken awareness. My goal is to create a space for you to explore the physical practice of yoga, to increase strength and flexibility, to question limitations and possibilities, and expand your mind as you develop an understanding of the practice of yoga, realizing your personal sojourns.
